I have a lively year 5 and 6 recorder ensemble which meets in the lunchtime. There are
about 15 or so children, playing descant, treble and tenor recorders at varying levels of ability and experience.
The ensemble meets at lunchtime, the atmosphere is pretty informal, and occasionally it takes a few goes before we achieve the kind of calm to begin.
This week, one of the children, Harry, (I promised him I would quote his name on my website!) turned to
the group, made a sweep with his arm and announced “The Magic Hand of Silence”
And there was,indeed, silence.
I promise you, his surname is NOT Potter.
I shall test out The Magic Hand of Silence” throughout this coming week.
