Issue 40: Ten things schools should know about learning music

I’ve just come back from a great day at the West Sussex Music Service Annual Primary Music Conference. We had sessions on ICT, Singing, Creative Music Making and Curriculum Planning. Here is where you can find one of the handouts from the Curriculum Planning workshop;

a short booklet summarising ten ways in which music has a positive impact in children’s learning and development.

So, if, at this stage of the term, and indeed at this stage of the school year, you would like to read something that may encourage and inspire you in your efforts, here you are! And if you need something to boost your bid for time and space in the already hard-pressed school curriculum, this could help you fight your corner.
