The final issue before Christmas!
Actually, the posts are not at all Christmassy – sorry about that! I have been up to my ears in Christmas carols this past week, accompanying a local primary school choir for their annual “Carols by Torchlight” one day, at the school “Senior Citizen’s Lunch” the next day, and then at a nearby church the following day! By the third time I was beginning to get the hang of the two John Rutter carols that they were singing. He has a habit of changing the key several times in each carol, usually just after a page turn… tricky.
I’m just home from a traditional “9 lessons and carols” service where I was accompanying their choir, and tomorrow night I shall be playing the “Christmas Eve Midnight Service” (which will start at 11:30pm – that always catches a few people out!)
Christmas day will have come and gone by the time the next issue of The Music Jungle appears – in the meantime, I hope you all have a good break, and find a chance to listen to your favourite music.
